Import advanced customer fields with CSV

A CSV is the usual way to move a list of customers or businesses in and out of myne. Exports include your custom properties as extra columns. Customer imports can write those columns back onto the profile. Business imports do not — extra columns stay with the import, not as property answers.

Create the properties first under Custom properties. Then use the same Label as the column header so myne can match the file to the field.

Export

On Customers, open a group (or all customers) and select Export CSV. On Businesses, select Export businesses CSV. myne builds the file in the background — wait for the download or email.

Usual profile columns come first (name, email, phone, and so on). Custom property columns follow, one per property that applies to that record type. Empty answers are blank cells. Multiple-choice answers sit in one cell, joined with a semicolon (for example Coffee; Wine).

Import customers

Go to Customers.
Select Import CSV.
Download the sample CSV if you want a starting file. The sample is core columns only (name, email, phone, and so on). It does not invent property names such as Topics — add those headers from your export or from Settings → Brand → Properties.
Fill the file. Include an email and/or phone so myne can match or create the person.
Enter a Group Name and select Upload CSV.

Matching custom property columns update the profile. Unmatched extra columns are kept with the import. After the import finishes, a short message tells you how many people imported and how many need review.

Import businesses

Go to Businesses.
Select Import business group CSV.
Download a sample — businesses, or businesses with parent companies if you need parent links.
Include a name, plus a source ID, Account ID, email, phone, or website when you have them so myne can match an existing account.
Enter a Group Name and upload.

Each row creates or updates a business. Extra columns, including custom property headers, are saved with that import. They do not update custom properties on the business profile. Edit those on the business itself, or export them for a spreadsheet.

Rows myne cannot match wait on Business imports. Open that list from Businesses to map a row onto an existing account or skip it.

How to format custom property columns

Use the property Label as the header — the same text as the export. If two properties would share a name, the export adds the field key in brackets; use that full header when you import.

Short text / Long text — type the answer. Short text has a 500-character limit.
Yes / No — true or false (also yes / no or 1 / 0 on import).
Date — YYYY-MM-DD (for example 1990-05-15). Export drops any time part.
Amount — a whole number of cents, the same as the export. For example 1500 is fifteen dollars. Do not use a dollar sign, commas, or values such as 15.00.
Number — the figure as typed (decimals allowed). This is not money.
Single choice — the choice label people see in the app (for example Gold tier).
Multiple choice — labels in one cell, separated by a semicolon and a space (for example Coffee; Wine). Commas between choices are not accepted.
Link — a full web address starting with http:// or https://.

Leave a cell blank to keep the existing answer. A blank marketing opt-in cell does not turn consent off.

If the same property header appears twice, the last column is the one myne uses.

Rows that need a look

A problem in one row does not stop the rest of the file. The import still completes.

On Customers, leftover rows sit on Customer imports (the clipboard next to Import CSV, or the job after upload). Open a row, fix the cell, then:

Apply — create or update that person, including custom properties, cashback, and points from the row.
Map — attach the row to someone already in myne. Mapping does not grant cashback or points.
Skip — leave the row unused. You can skip several at once.

Typical reasons: Needs a look (invalid cell), Needs an email or phone, Already in this file (duplicate row — Map or Skip, not Apply), or email and phone matching different people.

On Businesses, leftover rows sit on Business imports with reasons such as No match found or Multiple matches.

What to watch for

Do not copy an Amount from a spreadsheet that shows currency. Export the file from myne, or type cents such as 1500.
Choice labels must match the property. A Topics value that is not on the list will send that customer row to review.
The sample customer CSV does not include your custom properties. Start from an export if you want every header already named.
Business custom properties export cleanly, but a business CSV import will not write them onto the profile yet.
