Limit how many people can claim or redeem an offer
Require a claim, cap first-come numbers, and see who reserved the offer
Published
A limited offer is useful when you only want a set number of people to get the deal, or when someone must claim it on a Connection page before they can redeem. You set this on the promotion under Schedule and usage limits.
These controls are optional. Leave both off if the offer should stay unlimited. How often each customer can redeem is a separate setting.
Require a claim before redeem
Turn on Must claim on the connection page first when only people who open the offer and claim it should be able to redeem. That can be on even if you do not set a first-come number.
People who claim land in a Claimed - [offer name] group under Customers → Promotions. Enroling someone through an automation does not add them to that group.
Cap how many people get the offer
Turn on Limit how many and enter a number of 1 or more. There is no day or week period on this cap. It is all-time.
If claim is required, the number is the first people to claim. Only they can redeem.
If claim is off, the number is the first redemptions across all customers, at the POS or through ordering.
You cannot set a separate claim total and a separate redemption total on the same offer.
When the limit is reached
If Limit how many is on, fill in When the limit is reached. Customers see this on the confirmation page and when redeeming. If you leave it blank, myne uses Sorry, this offer is no longer available.
A customer can still finish check-in after the cap is gone. Claim and redeem stay blocked unless they already claimed.
How often each customer can redeem
Limit how many times each customer can use this is separate. It has a period such as all time, per day, or per week.
New promotions start with that per-customer limit on, set to 1 for all time, so a one-off deal is not left unlimited by accident. You can change it or turn it off before you save. Pay with Cashback stays unlimited. Buy X Get Y with Allow Repeat on also stays unlimited.
For who can see or redeem the offer, see Choose who can see and use a promotions. For the rest of the promotion form, see Setting up Promotions.
