Shopify coupons and promotions

Offer myne promotions on Shopify as a one-time checkout discount code.

When Shopify is available as a promotion surface on your account, customers can claim a myne promotion and receive a one-time Shopify discount code to use at checkout.

This guide explains how Shopify coupons work with promotions, what customers see when they claim, and what to expect after you edit a promotion.

Before you start

  • Shopify must be connected and Active for your brand. See Connect Shopify.

  • You need access to create or edit promotions.

  • Only some promotion types can be claimed as Shopify coupons: order discounts and multiple products offers.

Make a promotion available on Shopify

  1. Open the promotion you want customers to claim.

  2. Scroll to Who can see and where

  3. Under 'Where this promotion appears' select Shopify when it is available for your account.

  4. Save the promotion.

How customers claim a Shopify coupon

When a customer claims an eligible promotion through your connection experience:

  1. They select Claim Shopify coupon (or follow the claim flow shown on the page).

  2. They confirm with Claim reward / Confirm claim.

  3. myne shows Your coupon code with an option to Copy coupon code.

  4. They apply the code at Shopify checkout.

Each claim creates a one-time discount code that is restricted to that customer. Redemption limits on the promotion still apply.

Editing a promotion after codes are claimed

If you change a promotion that already has Shopify coupon codes claimed, myne warns that existing codes will keep the old rules.

  • Modal title: Shopify coupon codes won’t update

  • To keep your edits anyway, select Save anyway

New claims after you save use the updated promotion rules. Codes already issued do not change.

How redemption is confirmed

When Shopify marks an order as paid and the order includes a matching discount code, myne can close the open claim for that customer. Unpaid or draft orders do not complete redemption.

Important things to know

  • Customers need a mapped Shopify customer record for the claim to succeed.

  • Promotion types outside order and multiple-products offers cannot be minted as Shopify coupons.

  • If Shopify does not appear in promotion visibility settings, your brand may not have this surface enabled yet.
