Understanding Actions usage and billing

How Actions are counted, what your allowance covers, and what happens if you go over

Your plan includes an Actions allowance for the current billing period. Sending messages, running automations, and using AI all draw from that allowance. This guide explains what counts, how usage is added up, and what happens if you go over.

Open Settings → Billing to see your live allowance, usage, and overage rate. Plan prices are on the pricing page (AUD, excluding tax).

What is an Action?

An Action is billable work in myne during your billing period. Different activities use different amounts, so ten emails do not cost the same as ten SMS.

Only sent activity counts. Skipped automations, messages that were not sent, and data syncing from connected apps do not use Actions.

How usage is calculated

Each activity uses a number of Actions. Fractional usage is added together. For example, 10 emails or 10 automation runs at 0.1 Action each equal 1 Action.

Your usage total is compared with your allowance for the dates shown on Settings → Billing. That period follows your subscription (monthly, quarterly, or annual), not a calendar month.

Wallet pass pushes appear in the usage breakdown so you can see volume. They do not use Actions.

Card linked counts once when a payment card is matched to a customer, not on later visits. Meeting Notes transcription uses 2 Actions per billable minute (rounded up, with a minimum of 1 minute when a recording is saved).

Your Actions allowance

Your allowance is the Actions included on your plan, plus any pre-committed Action block.

If your organisation is billed together, locations share one Actions pool. The allowance is based on how many locations are on that subscription, and usage from every brand in the organisation counts toward the same total.

An Action block is a single extra quantity for the subscription. It is not multiplied by the number of locations.

SMS

Each sent SMS uses 1 Action, up to 20% of your Actions allowance (rounded down).

SMS beyond that share is billed at 5¢ each (AUD, excluding tax) and does not use more of your Actions allowance.

For example, on a 500 Action allowance, up to 100 SMS count as Actions. Further SMS are billed at 5¢ each.

If you go over

myne does not stop sending or running automations when you reach the allowance. Extra usage appears on the next invoice, as two possible charges:

  • Actions overage — any Actions above your allowance, billed at your overage rate.

  • SMS overage — SMS beyond 20% of the allowance, billed at 5¢ each.

The Actions overage rate is the rate on your plan, unless you have an Action block, in which case the block’s overage rate is used. You can see the rate under See usage on Settings → Billing.

If you regularly go over, add a pre-committed Action block or move to a plan with a higher inclusion. Adding or changing an Action block is charged for the remainder of the current period.

Check your usage

  1. Go to Settings → Billing.

  2. Check Actions used against your allowance.

  3. Select See usage for the period dates and a breakdown by activity.

If you have an Action block, the breakdown also shows Plan inclusion and Action commitment.

To add more Actions without changing plan, use Need more Actions? on the same page. You can have one Action block at a time.

Frequently asked questions

Does unused usage roll over?

No. Unused Actions do not carry into the next billing period.

Your allowance is a reserved quantity for that period, not a credit balance. The size of the allowance is preserved from period to period, but usage starts again from zero when the next period begins. Unused Actions expire when the period ends.

The same applies to a pre-committed Action block: unused Actions in the block do not roll over.

What happens if I go over my allowance?

You can keep using myne. Extra Actions are billed at your overage rate. Extra SMS beyond the 20% share are billed at 5¢ each. Both appear on the next invoice.

Does SMS use my Actions allowance?

Yes, up to 20% of the allowance, at 1 Action per sent SMS. SMS above that share is billed at 5¢ each and does not consume further Actions.

Do wallet pass pushes count?

No. Pass pushes are shown in the usage list so you can see how many were sent. They are not included in your Actions total.

Is my allowance per location?

Your live allowance is the number on Settings → Billing. If the organisation is billed together, locations share one pool and the allowance scales with how many locations are on the subscription. An Action block is one extra quantity, not per location.

Can I add more Actions without changing plan?

Yes. On Settings → Billing, use Need more Actions? to add a pre-committed Action block. That raises your allowance and can lower the overage rate.

If billing is managed at organisation level, Action blocks are set up by myne. Contact support if you need a change.

What does not count as an Action?

Skipped automations, messages that were not sent, wallet pass pushes, and data syncing from connected apps do not count. Failed or deleted messages are not included.

Where can I see current prices?

See the pricing page for plan prices and Action blocks. Your live allowance, usage, and overage rate are on Settings → Billing.
