Keep items and categories in line with promotions and reporting

Your product catalogue brings together the products, categories and other menu information myne receives from your connected systems. Keeping this catalogue consistent helps myne understand what customers are buying and gives you better product-level reporting across your business.

Products are also used throughout myne. You can build promotions around specific products or categories, analyse your most popular items, and understand how different products perform with new, returning or other Customer Groups.

How products get into myne

Your initial product catalogue is normally imported from your POS or online store integration.

For venues using an ordering platform, products are generally already mapped back to the POS. In these cases, myne uses the POS as the main source of product information rather than importing another copy from the ordering platform.

This helps keep product names consistent and avoids duplicate products or orders when the same transaction also flows through your POS.

Go to Settings → Products to view your catalogue. Depending on your setup, you can manage:

  • Products

  • Categories

  • Reporting groups

  • Option sets

Products at a venue

For an individual venue, the catalogue usually reflects the products synced from its connected POS.

Open a product to view or update its details. Keeping product names and categories organised is particularly useful when creating promotions that apply to a particular item or category.

For example, you might create an offer for all coffees, a particular burger, or another category of products.

See Setting up Promotions for more information about using products and categories in offers.

Add menu information with Upload Menu

Select Upload Menu to upload a PDF containing your menu or product list.

myne can use this information to enrich the products already received from your POS with additional details such as descriptions and images.

This information is not yet used across every part of myne, but building a richer product catalogue can support future experiences where products are presented in campaigns, promotions and other customer-facing content.

Products at Head office

If you manage an organisation with multiple venues, switch to the Head office brand to manage products across the group.

Head office helps you align the same products across different venue catalogues. Use:

  • Map all to map products across the organisation.

  • Mapping review to review existing product matches.

  • Match child brands to connect Head office products with the corresponding products at each venue.

Each venue still keeps its own local catalogue. Head office provides the layer above those catalogues so products can be aligned and reported consistently across the organisation.
