Connect OpenTable
Sync diner profiles and reservations onto customers
Published
Connecting OpenTable brings diner profiles and reservations into myne, so a booking sits on the same customer as visits and marketing. That helps you recognise regulars before they arrive, and keep email marketing in line with the dining-offers choice on the booking form.
You will need to arrange Sync API access from OpenTable for each restaurant you connect.
Connect a restaurant
Go to Settings → Integrations → OpenTable.
Under Add restaurant, choose the Location (this is filled in for you if you only have one unused location).
Enter the Restaurant ID, Partner API OAuth client ID, and Partner API OAuth client secret - if unsure contact the myne Support team who can help you find this information.
Select Connect. For another restaurant, select Add restaurant.
When the connection succeeds, status shows as Connected and the restaurant appears in the list. Inbound webhook secret is optional.
If OpenTable rotates the client ID or secret later, select Edit, enter the new values, and Save changes.
Initial sync
Under Initial sync, choose a Historical period (3, 6, 12, or 24 months, or all history). That period is based on when diner profiles and reservations were last updated in OpenTable, not every booking that occurred then.
Sync customers (or Sync all customers) updates diner details and marketing choices only.
Run initial sync (or Sync all restaurants) also imports reservations updated in that period.
You can run either action for one restaurant from the restaurant row, or for every connected restaurant from Initial sync. Progress appears under History and may take several minutes.
After the first import, diner profiles and reservations keep updating. Upcoming bookings can also appear on the customer timeline, including reservations that were made earlier and not edited again.
What data is synced
Once connected, myne syncs:
Diner profiles (name, email, phone) onto customers
Reservations onto the customer timeline, including upcoming bookings
Email marketing from the dining-offers checkbox on the booking, not OpenTable’s own platform marketing
If the diner did not choose email marketing on the booking, they are not opted in in myne. A cancelled or no-show booking can still show on the timeline so the status stays accurate; it does not keep someone Active.
You can build Customer Groups from reservation activity, for example customers with an upcoming booking. When a customer already linked to OpenTable is updated in myne, those details can update on OpenTable for restaurants they are already linked to.
Disconnect
To remove one restaurant, select Disconnect on that row. Other restaurants stay connected.
To remove OpenTable entirely, select Disconnect OpenTable and confirm. You can connect again later from the same page.
